Wizard Technologist Jeremy Summers began developing for the web in 2003, and quickly built and launched a music streaming website. Wishing to further his experience Jeremy returned to college in 2007 to study computer science at a higher level and gained a First-class honours degree in Applied Computing (BSc) from Bournemouth University with an official letter of commendation.
After leaving college, Jeremy took a full time position as Head of Technology at Bristol based Spicerack Media Ltd, where he worked for four years, developing bespoke online/digital solutions for national and global brands including, Estée Lauder, Philosophy, Sky, Science in Sport, Homebase, and Garnier, as well as managing the internal technology needs of the business â building and maintaining the company website, intranet, servers and network.
Wizard Technology’s first year has been a great success, and we’ve been lucky enough to be involved with several educational projects in the south west UK, in addition to some more traditional commercial ventures.
Having been a competitive cyclist for many years, Jeremy trains and competes in Cycling Time Trials most weekends during the season. After finding a niche in the market for a powerful and simple-to-use analytical database for cyclists, we decided it would be really good fun to build it – using many contemporary and imminent web based technologies along the way.
